I don't know about where you live, but sometimes in the summer a few cold spells are casted on the weather and honestly, I love it. It gives me a little taste of fall which is enough to get me excited. I'm ready to whip out the sweaters and fuzzy socks and snuggle by a fire. However, don't let me get ahead of myself. Living in a state where the winter weather is harsh, I need to soak up the sun as much as I can. This has led me to putting together an outfit where I feel cozy in the chilly air, but still keep a somewhat summery vibe.
I like to think that my style is all or nothing. I love crazy bold prints and statement pieces (not necklaces), but plain single color pieces will always have a place in my heart. You can't go wrong with them because they go with everything. Whereas it can be tricky pairing prints.I wore a thrifted pair of highwaist denim shorts, a black leather belt, a black long sleeve shirt, and knitted knee high socks from Urban Outfitters. For some reason, I really like the look of long sleeves with shorts and the socks kept my legs warm.
On days when the weather is cool, I always feel really productive. (Thus the writing of a blog post) I managed to clean my room, do a bit of banking, and go out to lunch. All the while, I felt comfortable and confident. There's nothing like a good outfit to give you a major confidence boost.
To complete the outfit, I added a scarf because I'm obsessed with scarves lately. I just tied it around my ponytail to give it a little more somethin' something'.
I think wearing a pair of Birkenstock sandals would look really nice as well and make it even more comfyGet the Look:
red scarf
black long sleeve
high waisted shorts
black leather belt
knitted knee high socks
Thank you so much for reading and please give this look a try for yourself! Sorry I've been away for a while, but I'm back baby!

Thank you! I love getting my shorts from thrift stores, I find that they tend to be better quality and definitely better prices.
