Recreating Miu Miu Croisière 2020 with Thrifted Clothing

One of my favorite things about summertime, other than tan lines and picnics, is summer fashion. To be more specific, I'm talking about resort/cruise collections. These are pre-season ready-to-wear collections that represent the upcoming looks of late summer. Despite their name, they can most definitely be worn to more than just resorts and cruises. While fashion is exciting in the fall (hellooooo New York Fashion Week) and completely floral and pastel in the spring (*heart eyes*), resort wear seems to have captured my heart entirely. In my opinion, it's the perfect mix of fall AND spring and you'll soon see what I mean.

A Parisian Look Inspired By My Favorite YA Novel

When I was little, I hated reading. Emphasis on "hated." No matter how many times my parents dragged me to the library or bookstore, I dug my heals in and refused to pick up a book. That was until I became acquainted with Harry Potter. (Thanks J. K. Rowling, I owe you one.) However, that is an entire other story in itself.

It's funny for me to imagine hating one of the things I love most. I mean, it's a dream of mine to one day be a published writer! But among my current love for reading, my favorite genre lies within YA (Young Adult). And within this subcategory is Anna and the French Kiss by Stephanie Perkins.

A Step-by-Step Process to Finding my Aesthetic and what that Really Means

Aesthetic. With social media on a constant rise and an increase in careers available in social media, all I ever seem to hear about is aesthetic. It's used to describe your feed, style, and your everyday life. It's a word everyone uses (including myself) but I'm not sure if I even have a full understanding of what it really means. I mean, does everyone have one? If not, how do I get one? Is it something hidden inside me that I have to discover through enlightenment? All I know is that one thing all successful blogs and influencers have is a strong and clear aesthetic. Perhaps if I found mine, it would turn my blog from a hobby to a career (like we all dream of).

The Four Summertime Shoes You NEED this Summer

At the age of four I was obsessed with The Wizard of OZ. It was a colorful fairytale with the beautiful Judy Garland as its protagonist who wears the cutest blue picnic dress (um hello current 2018 trend of picnic dresses!). But most of all, it's plot loosely focuses on the ownership of a gorgeous pair of ruby slippers that held magical powers beyond just making my young self drool on the couch. As most little kids do, when there's a character you love, it's inevitable that you will be dressing as that character for Halloween. And that is exactly what I did. But most importantly, I remember having the ruby slippers of my dreams, which I believe has evolved into my unexplainable LOVE for shoes!

The 70's Chic Inspiration You've Been Waiting For

Model: Alicia Styled by: Alicia Ward Photographed by: Sarah Grace (Me!)

History repeating itself is a known fact within the fashion industry. Currently we've been seeing a recurring 90's theme between the endless supply of fanny packs and clunky dad sneakers. (Find how I styled a 90's look here!) However, with returning styles and tends, they aren't exactly the same as they used to be. They're revamped and have our 21st century style added to them. Although the rest of us love following trends and find them new and stylish, those whose personal style has always been a specific decade are experiencing their worst nightmare.

What to Do with Your Summer if You're Not Going on Vacation

There's nothing worse than sitting at home in your pj's thinking about how all your friends are going on vacation and basking in the sun in their sun dresses. Especially in the age of social media, no vacation goes without a post making your feed flooded with people making memories, not working, and having fun. However, in order to have fun and enjoy the sun (ew, rhyming) you don't have to travel far away to some tropical paradise.
